RBI Assistant 2027: Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Selection Process

Conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, the RBI Assistant exam is one of the most popular national-level recruitment exams for shortlisting candidates for clerical jobs in the regional offices and central headquarters of the RBI across India. While the final selection for these jobs is subject to the written examinations, Language Proficiency Test, and other prescribed selection criteria, candidates who score well in the Preliminary and Main examinations are shortlisted for the further stages of the selection process.

RBI, which is the supreme monetary authority and central banking institution of India, recruits approximately 400–650 Assistants through the RBI Assistant exam for various job responsibilities, including data entry and ledger maintenance, document verification, query handling, and departmental support. Since the exam does not follow a fixed annual schedule or a particular month, there is often uncertainty surrounding the RBI Assistant recruitment process.

While the last RBI Assistant recruitment was conducted in 2026 for 650 vacancies, it is difficult to predict whether the exam will be conducted in 2027. However, if RBI announces the recruitment for 2027, the registration process, application fee, syllabus, eligibility criteria, and exam pattern are expected to remain broadly similar to the previous recruitment cycle, subject to any changes introduced by RBI. The expected details are provided below for your reference.

RBI Assistant Recruitment Drive 2027 – Main Highlights
